Iron-on edging tape is the giveaway of a budget job — visible glue lines, edges that peel at the corners, and hours of filing and trimming. A commercial edge bander applies, trims and finishes the edge in one pass, producing the same clean result as the boards from a trade supplier — except on your components, cut to your sizes, on your schedule.
For kitchen and bedroom fitters, that's the difference between "cut to size and edged" being a premium you pay your board supplier (with a week's lead time) and something you do yourself in an afternoon.

Cut and edge in one visit
Because every booking covers the whole workshop, the usual workflow is: break your sheets down on the panel saw, run components straight through the edge bander, then dry-assemble on the big tables before loading the van. A full kitchen's worth of cutting and edging typically takes well under the day, leaving time for dry assembly.
