Why hire panel saw time?
A track saw on trestles will get through a sheet, but it won't give you the speed, square and repeatability of a proper panel saw. When you're cutting thirty-plus components for a kitchen, the difference is measured in hours saved and joints that close up first time. A commercial panel saw holds dimension across a whole cutting list — every carcass side identical, every shelf square.
Owning one is another matter: serious capital, three-phase power, extraction and floor space. Hiring ours costs £200 + VAT for a full 7am–7pm day — and unlike machine-only hire elsewhere, your booking includes the entire workshop, so you can cut, edge and assemble in one visit.
What you can cut
- MFC, MDF, plywood and other sheet materials up to full 8x4 sheets
- Kitchen and bedroom carcass components, cut square and to size
- Shelving, wardrobe and alcove unit parts, batch-cut for repeatability
- Shopfitting and display components

Inductions and support
First visit? We'll run you through the saw before you start — a short induction covering setup, safe operation and getting the best from the fence and scoring. Experienced machinists are cutting within minutes; if you'd rather we ran the cutting list with you the first time, ask when you book.
Pair it with edge banding
Most sheet-cutting jobs need edging next. The edge bander is included in the same booking — cut your components and run them straight through for a factory finish in a single day.
